Baenstudio: The Art of Quiet Observation
Where Clay Meets Imagination
Welcome to Baenstudio—the home of aesthetic & creativity.
My work is driven by the desire to translate the subtle realism and inherent aesthetic of the world around us into tactile, enduring forms. Each sculpture or object I make begins as a spark — something I see in everyday life, a texture, a shape, a fleeting moment. From the complex curves of nature to fleeting human expressions, I combine the elements I observe to create unique, singular sculptures that prompt a second look.
Every piece you see here is born from observation, fueled by imagination, and crafted by hand, resulting in art that is both grounded and evolving.
Meet the Artist: Ben’s Journey
I’m Ben. Born and raised in Vietnam, I moved to New York at 19 and settling in Florida at the moment. All the traveling and moving has instilled a deep appreciation for my diverse aesthetic and creativity.

My journey with art began when I was six — I dreamed of becoming an artist and taught myself to draw and paint. Life took me on other paths (I studied and graduated in Finance and almost finished a minor in Graphic Design), but creativity has always found its way back to me.
In June 2025, after months learning different types of paintings I discovered clay — and it instantly felt right. There’s something grounding about hand-building: the direct connection between my hands and the material, shaping ideas from thoughts into form.
The Process: Hand-Built & Intuitive
I view my work as a deeply personal union of skills. I start with the intimacy of hand-building and finish with my accumulated painting techniques, giving each piece a layer of depth and aesthetic realism.
I choose hand-building because it allows me to stay connected to the material and directly translate my vision—there is no wheel, only the touch of my fingers pushing, pulling, and refining the clay until the sculpture finds its final, intended shape.

The sculptural process involves:
The Concept: Combining real-life observations, sometimes blending two or three disparate ideas into a new, cohesive design.
The Touch: Focusing intensely on the sculptural aspect—achieving realism in form while maintaining a unique artistic aesthetic.
The Mediums: Currently, I specialize in crafting pieces using versatile air-dry clay and polymer clay.
The Finish: To achieve the final aesthetic and realism, I employ various painting materials, including acrylic, oil, and gouache.
The Future: As an artist who loves exploring form, my goal is to eventually master and incorporate all types of clay, expanding the boundaries of Baenstudio's creations.
Every detail, every texture, is intentional. When you acquire a piece from Baenstudio, you are acquiring a part of that focused, hands-on journey.
Made By Hand, From My Studio to Your Home
I am proud to say that every single sculpture in the Baenstudio collection is made entirely at my own studio.
This means I oversee every stage of the artwork's life—from the initial spark of the idea and the first touch of the clay, to the final finishing, packaging, and shipping. This commitment to in-house creation ensures the highest level of quality control and the authenticity of every piece you take home.
You can be confident that your unique sculpture is a true one-of-a-kind creation, handled with care and intention from start to finish.
